History In Person

Living History in Your Living Room!

We have published ten books so far with three more in post production. Our goal is 25 books by the end of the Year!

Imagine an intimate conversation with some of the movers and shakers in world history, people whose decisions shaped our world and whose lives still inspire us today. These historical characters are telling true stories of the pivotal moments in their lives in a compelling performance. We have published a dozen books and filmed 18 half-hour episodes. Our diverse line-up includes authors Walt Whitman and Harriet Beecher Stowe, scientists like Meriwether Lewis and Charles Darwin, artists John James Audubon and Native Elder Black Hawk. There are four friends of Lincoln, several first ladies and presidents, soldiers from most major battles, and a series of Explorers, Immigrants and Pioneers. Our PBS series will also feature young performers on a regular basis to help build audience engagement and to build young scholars’ enthusiasm about these Chautauqua style programs.

These books are a part of a growing series of live performances available as audio-books, video, ebooks and print on demand paperbacks. Look for other books in the History In Person series. Purchase a book and you receive a link to the video and audio files. Subscribe to the History In Person podcast and History In Person YouTube channel to collect all of these unauthorized autobiographies.
